Patrick Tresset is a contemporary French artist based in Brussels. He is best known for his performative installations, in which he explores the representation of human presence and experience through the use of computer systems, artificial intelligence, robotics and traditional media.

Beginning in 2004, Tresset studied at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he earned both a Master's degree and an MPhil in Art and Technology. He subsequently worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Konstanz and later as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Canberra. Although he has devoted himself exclusively to his artistic practice over the past decade, his research into computational creativity and graphic representation has been cited in more than 300 scientific publications across disciplines including drawing, psychology, artificial intelligence, robotics and computational graphics.

Since 2011, Tresset has presented sixteen solo exhibitions, while his work has also been featured in group exhibitions at major museums and institutions worldwide, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Fondazione Prada in Milan, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the MMCA in Seoul, the Grand Palais in Paris, BOZAR in Brussels, TAM in Beijing, MCAM in Shanghai and the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. 

His installations, paintings, drawings and digital works are held in both public and private collections and have received numerous awards and distinctions, including recognition from the Lumen Prize, Ars Electronica, the NTAA-Liedts Foundation and the Japan Media Arts Festival. In 2017, he was also nominated as a Cultural Leader by the World Economic Forum.
